Based in Eastbourne, My Care Direction supports individuals and families across East Sussex, Brighton & Hove and the surrounding area. We give independent care advice, carry out care needs assessments and care home searches, support hospital discharges, and provide advocacy and practical help – in people's own homes, in hospitals, in care homes and wherever else it is needed.
For more complex assignments we travel further by arrangement – across wider Sussex, to Royal Tunbridge Wells, and up to Croydon and its surrounding areas.
Many of our guidance, advocacy, care funding and care-planning services are provided by telephone or video call across England, so distance often does not matter at all. If you are elsewhere in the UK, ask – we can often help by arrangement.

Questions about where we work
I live in another part of the country. Can you still help?
Yes. Funding guidance, CHC reviews, care guidance calls, second opinions and professional consultations are all provided by telephone and video across England – and elsewhere in the UK by arrangement.
My relative is local but I am not. Does that work?
That is one of the most common situations we deal with. We can be in the room while you are on the phone.
Do you charge travel costs on top?
In our core area, the price quoted is the price you pay. Further out, we tell you the travel cost before you decide, and it is agreed in writing with the rest of the fee.
Do you know the local care homes?
Yes – across Eastbourne, Hailsham, Seaford, Lewes, Bexhill, Hastings and Brighton & Hove – and we are not paid by any of them. That is the difference between a recommendation and an advertisement.
